The game PlanetSide 2 recently received an Update 2.14, following which it can now be downloaded on PlayStation 4 as well as PC. Update: Daybreak Game Company's PlanetSide 2 Drops New Update 2.14, With Improvements On The Empire's Strength. The PlanetSide 2 Update 2.14 has incorporated general bug fixes, improvements, and new features. Perhaps the most strikingly unique feature of the game is the addition of the new Empire Strength content, where territory is predominant every time.

As PlanetSide 2 comes up with more of its extensive multiplayer action by virtue of its graphics engine, there is added scope for hundreds of instantaneous opponents to indulge in epic-scale conflicts. The players can opt to choose any of the three factions. The factions who will endlessly wage war so as to acquire as much territory as possible on the land of planet Auraxis entail Terran Republic, Vanu Sovereignty, and New Conglomerate. A few of the vital patch notes pertaining to PlanetSide 2 Update 2.14 are as below:

Empire Strength and Continent Rotation:

Possessing a territory is crucial when each empire gains strength following the taking over of the primary facilities as well as after the winning of the events of the continent. A Meltdown alert is fired off till the time a faction reaches 100 Empire Strength, after which the victorious faction locks the continent.

The Losing/Gaining of Empire Strength comes as follows:

  • Keeping a link to an enemy Warpgate comes at 50 strength- or both at 100.

  • The maintaining of ownership of the center base is at 15 strength- or 30 on Esamir.

  • The keeping of purchase of a significant facility is worth 15 strength- or 20 on Esamir.

  • The worth of every continent-event win is 10-strength and is the sole permanent form of Empire Strength.

  • Empire Strength is not contributed by cutoff territories.

Prior to the change in PlanetSide 2, the continents were equalised at three continent events (like Maximum Pressure, Gaming Ground, and Aerial Anomalies) before needing 41% territory control from a single faction so as to activate an end-of-countdown Meltdown alert.

Following this new update, the factions can compel continents to submit more rapidly by finishing strategic map goals, and winning the continent event will help in propelling players towards the final battle over a continent.

Koltyr:

Koltyr, which has been disabled at the moment, will be restored soon at some other date as a standard combat zone. With additional technical complications, this feature has been in a somewhat strange spot. Hence, as a VR zone, it generally comes out to be more confusing, instead of being helpful, as was earlier intended, for the new players.

However, in a later update of PlanetSide 2, they will be converting Koltyr to a calibre combat continent that which opens and closes during the non-peak hours. This helps in finding as well as sustaining the combat during moments of sparse population, besides adding some gameplay spice for nightly players.

Infantry:

T7 Mini-Chaingun (Terran Republic Heavy Weapon)

  • The maximum refire rate begins from 75 ms to 71ms

  • The minimum refire rate begins from 100 ms to 80 ms

  • Ballistic Rapid Refire Toggle is now devoid of the ‘usual’ concealed projectile speed advantage.

  • Ballistic Rapid Refire Toggle cannot cut down the maximum refire rate any longer, for it is by default
