Six years have passed down the line since Cory Monteith has passed away leaving those who love him feeling extremely disheartened. The long list includes Lea Michele as well who during the latest episode of the Showmance Podcast revealed that has recently re-watched the first episode of the show.
Lea Michele says she got emotional re-watching the first episode of ‘Glee’ and it was because of the late Cory Monteith’s touching scenes.
The reason Lea got emotional was also that she could notice some new qualities in the acting of her former boyfriend.
The podcast, of which she was a part of, hosted the other two actors as well who was a part of Glee named Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz who were portrayed as Artie Abrams and Tina Cohen-Chang respectively.
All of them could very well understand the pain which Lea was feeling due to the loss of Cory.
During a talk between the three of them, where they were discussing the pilot episode, Lea opened up about the reason why re-watching the first episode after almost a decade made her feel differently after its premiere.
Lea went on to explain the main points which made her feel in a certain different way this time way a moment where Cory took Kevin out of the port-a-potty. However, this incident or moment did not bother her emotionally earlier, but this time she was missing him.
Lea also added that there were several other moments where they could see the whole arc of a character for a whole season in only one moment. For example, the moment when Cory took Kevin out of the bathroom, and they could see Finn’s heart, she exclaimed.
The musical show which had hit the screen 10 years back became an instant blockbuster then.
Lea and Cory who were partners onscreen and shared a love interest there took no time to turn into real-life lovers post a few seasons into Glee.
Their relationship started in February 2012 and lasted till Cory died due to accidental overdose in July 2013.
