[dropcap]G[/dropcap]etting things started with the wonderfully well-produced ‘Intoxicated’, the EP immediately throws the listeners into a chaotic world of exciting music, which feels complete due to the catchy bars and the style with which Dilla has delivered the track – a great way to kick off the EP. Then the EP leans in a new direction, as ‘No More’ follows a more contemporary dance theme along with a smoother progression and energy. There’s space within the majestic moments of the track that fills the room with excitement. And, then appears the track ‘Crime Pays’, which is certainly at the epitome of musicality and perhaps the best fragment of ‘Dilla’s Adventures’.
‘Cocaine & Percocets’ – is a mood-setting piece of sound that needs to be played at a high volume. From the very beginning, the groovy vibes kick in, while the colorful and musically entrancing moments capture the mind. Great sound design, quickly addictive premise, and easily recognizable rhythms – ‘The Ugly Truth’ has brightened up the premise with its amazing sound effects. Dilla has brought the entire presentation to a satisfying end through ‘Handsome’. The production is to-the-point throughout ‘Dilla’s Adventures’ – it is certainly a pleasure for the fans who love to dance their hearts out.
