Stevie wonder came to Oprah Winfrey’s show a few days back. In the interview, he admitted that the chaotic political situation in the US had forced him to disperse. He explained that he chose to move to Ghana because he wanted to live somewhere where people respected him.

In the interview, she talked about his hope for the future of America. He said, "I promise you [America], if you do the right thing, I will give you this song. I will give it to you. You can have it." He said, "I wanna see this nation smile again. And I want to see it before I leave to travel to move to Ghana because I’m going to do that.”

Oprah was shocked to hear about his plans and asked if he would want to move to Ghana permanently. In respect to the question, he said, “I don't want to see my children's, children's children have to say 'Oh please like me. Please respect me, please know that I am important, please value me.' What is that?"

He opened up about his thoughts on moving outside America. It wasn’t the first time he was eager to leave the country. He wanted to move to Ghana in 1994 because he felt a lack “sense of community” in America.

Stevie Wonder is a famed Michigan native who was blessed with exceptional musical talents. He learned to play piano, drums, and harmonica by age 9. He signed the contract with Motown in 1961. He has already sold more than 100 million records all across the world. He has spent a long period in his life as a well-known activist for political causes. He won 25 Grammy awards with at least 74 nominations in his pocket.
