American pop singer Britney Spears has recently got rid of the 13-year-long conservatorship in November 2021. Her fellow singer and long-time friend Christina Aguilera is offering nothing but support to Britney and celebrating her new freedom.
One of the greatest pop artists of all time, Aguilera is a contemporary of Britney Spears. She first became popular with Mickey Mouse Club and her international fame began in the early 2000s. She recently talked on the matter of Spears’ conservatorship in an interview with The Enrique Santos Show on January 21st.
The 41-year-old artist was asked if she talked to Spears after the epic court ruling. Though she expressed that the topic needed to be discussed carefully, she revealed that Britney is someone to whom she would always be open. She said she was very much happy for her friend and according to her every woman deserved to be empowered. They should be able to lead their life as they want. She offered her full support to Britney if she ever needs someone to lean on.
She added that she loved Britney and the ability to connect with another woman like that is very important. She thinks they must feel unified now that they are able to have that kind of connection.
For the first time, Christina has made it clear that she is on Britney’s side. Last summer when the case on conservatorship was still going, The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ singer praised Britney for raising her voice against the strict legal arrangement.
She wrote on her Instagram that she had been about all that Britney had been going through on June 28th. She added that it was totally unacceptable that any woman or human being wants to be in control of their own life and destiny and they are denied that right.
She said that to be ignored and bullied by people in her inner circle must have been extremely devastating for Britney. She further said that every woman must have the right to own their own body, reproductive system, privacy, and happiness.
Among other claims, Britney revealed that she was not allowed to remove her IUD without permission, even though she wanted to have a baby. Britney even linked her conservatorship to sex trafficking and said that she was being enslaved by her father Jamie Spears, who is the co-conservator in her case.
Christina clarified that she did not have every detail of Britney’s case but still she expressed her empathy due to their shared experience of fame.
She said that seeing the desperation of the plea she can feel how much Britney had endured and had been living in a toxic environment without any kind of compassion and decency. She thinks Britney deserves all the freedom and the happiest life she can have. She concluded by saying her heart goes out to Britney and she deserves all the true love and support in life.
