Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have finally been confirmed as the headliners for Glastonbury 2022 show.

The legendary The Beatles singer Paul McCartney will be joining Billie Eilish and Diana Ross on Saturday, June 25. This artist is going to perform exactly one week after he turns 80.

In 2004 Sir Paul McCartney performed in Glastonbury for the first time. Before that, he had performed in more than 3000 concerts. He closed the 2004 show by singing The Beatles' Abbey Road album.

Glastonbury is being canceled for the last two years during the Covid-19 pandemic. But this year it will be a grand celebration. The music festival will start on 22nd June and will end on 26th June.

People are going as The Beatles singer confirmed his performance.

The organizer Emily Eavis expressed her excitement by saying, ‘For us, having Paul McCartney is obviously a dream, a huge moment in our history. It means the world getting Paul McCartney to Glastonbury.’

Kendrick Lamar will perform on Sunday, 26th of June.

On the first day, a lot of artists are going to perform. There will be Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde, Megan Thee Stallion, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Wolf Alice, Years and Years, Charli XCX, Crowded House, Celeste, Arlo Parks, Doja Cat, and Haim.

More artists will be revealed in the coming days of May.

In 2020 Glastonbury was about to celebrate its 50th anniversary, they were about to host 2000000 audiences but couldn’t do it.

That is why they are making the scale bigger. Organizers are saying that all the tickets have been sold already. They have rolled over all the tickets for 2020.

The organizers have said they are very much excited to bring the show.

Eavis added more, ‘We've never had two years without a Glastonbury festival before - and it really feels like we all need it, to be honest’.

She also said that this festival will be raising funds for Red Cross Ukraine, WaterAid, Greenpeace, and Oxfam by keeping the current situation in mind.
