Good news for Nintendo Switch as it is now officially declared as the best selling console by VGChartz. Next to the chain is Play station 4 and Xbox One. Nintendo managed to sell 257,915 followed by Sony with 181363 units sold while Microsoft managed t sell 44,185 Xbox one unites.

However, the trend is different in other regions. Going with the numbers, Nintendo dominates globally but it is not the favorite in many regions.

Nintendo stands tall with selling off 87737 units in the US, Canada, and Latin America, followed by Sony’s Play station 4 with 54547 consoles sold and Microsoft Xbox One’s 28911 units, lastly Nintendo 3DS with selling off only 6513 units.

In Europe, the numbers speak differently with Sony leading the pack with an impressive 85968. Second, Nintendo Switch with 55705 units. Third in the number is Xbox One with 11901 units sold and lastly, Nintendo 3DS with 4350 units off the shelf.

To give Sony a better victory, Play station 4 is again the best selling in Australia and New Zealand with 7564 PS4 sold, preceded by Nintendo’s 6742 consoles and Xbox One’s 2108 units. Nintendo 3DS managed to sell only 363.

In Japan, Mainland Asia and the entire Middle East, Nintendo took the lead with 70% of the total console sales. Nintendo Switch figures in Asia are 107731 for the week ending on August 31, followed by Play Station 4 with 33284 units. Surprisingly Nintendo 3DS sold off more than Xbox One with 2184 and 1265 times respectively. PS Vita sells off 48 consoles in the Asian region.

Going with the Worldwide Hardware Sales Estimates, Sony’s Play station 4 leads the pack with 99328350 units sold. Second in the race is Nintendo 3DS with 74773065 units sold, followed by Xbox One with 43189390 units and lastly Nintendo Switch at 37200939 units. PS Vita follows the trail with 16131372 units sold since its release.

According to the data given, Nintendo Switch sold more units in each major region than what Xbox One did globally and brings Xbox One to the bottom.
