A Wall At PlayStation Headquarters Shows The Last Of Us As A Giant Board Game

There is certainly no doubt about the fact that both The Last of Us and its sequel, The Last of Us part II is going to be huge for Sony’s PlayStation 4.

The original game pivots the journey of the protagonists, Joel and Ellie, while they travel from Boston to Salt Lake City Utah in a timeline set up after an apocalypse in the US. While being in this adventurous journey, they face infected zombie-like people, blood hunting vicious predators, and also a community of cannibals.

A wall at PlayStation headquarters shows The Last of Us as a giant board game, through which the journey of Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us has been depicted.

Also, the enemy roadblocks and locations of the 2013 game have also been included in it.

The head of product for PlayStation World Wide Studios, Azad Qizilbash recently shared a photo of the wall on his Twitter account, with the caption – ‘My favorite meeting room on campus!’

In the picture, several locations of the game can be seen, from the Boston Quarantine Zone where the story begins, followed by The Outskirts, Bill’s Town, Pittsburgh, Tommy’s Dam, The University, and so on.

The picture also shows game piece representations of various characters of the game, such as Joel, Ellie, Tess, Bill, Sam, Henry, and David. Some weapon cards can also be seen in the bricks, steel pipes, 9 MM pistols, and Molotov cocktails.

The room is pretty small and it is pretty evident that this would make it an instant favorite of all those fans who have taken control of Joel and Ellie’s adventure.

The vice president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckman took to Twitter and said, ‘I want this board game, Asad! Make it happen!’

Though the board game doesn’t exist in reality, nobody knows what is coming in the near future. The release of the sequel of The Last of Us might get accompanied by merchandise like these.

The sequel of The Last of Us was originally scheduled to release at the end of February, but got delayed to May. It has been under some crucial developments for quite a while now, and the recent teasers prove that the efforts of Naughty Dog are certainly going to pay them off.

From new enemy types and new breeds of infected, to enhanced artificial intelligence in NPCs, the sequel of The Last of Us has already established itself as one of the much-awaited games of this year.

The Last of Us part II is set to release on 29th May 2020.
