After weeks of anticipation and speculation about the unknown, UFC President Dana White has now officially made some revelations. Dana White Reveals Details Surrounding Fight Island.

This time the Fight Island will be home to four major events scheduled to take place between July 11 and 25, located on Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates capital city of Abu Dhabi.

Thanks to the ongoing pandemic situation that the original idea of Fight Island popped up. The UIFC required a destination to hold the events and White came across Abu Dhabi as the preferred location.

Fight Island is all geared up to open with a huge event. The inaugural event on Fight Island will be UFC 251, which shall then be followed by the Fight Night cards on July 15, 18, and 25.

Moreover, the location will also play a host to international fighters that are unable to travel to the United States due to the implementation of certain restrictions. Furthermore White has assured that Fight Island will be equipped with all of the necessary infrastructures needed to host the fighters and to prepare for the upcoming event.

White also commented that Fight Island will include training facilities, hotels, and also a safety zone. All of this will include a nearly 10-square mile island that will feature an arena and dining establishments along with the other facilities mentioned above.

Fight Island will display its fair share of spectacles. A welterweight fight between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns will headline the UFC 251 along with two other title fights taking place on the Island.

Reportedly, UFC and Abu Dhabi have signed a five-year deal to hold the annual cards there back in 2019. The most recent UFC event that took place on the Yas Island was UFC 242nwhich was headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier.

Added to this, Dana White also commented on how the first event at Fight Island is completely insane, speaking of which he is right. Going to be headlined by Usman vs. Burns, the Featherweight Championship and the Bantamweight Championship will also be defended during the UFC 251.

Altogether eight fights are currently listed on the cards but it is still unknown of there will be any preliminary fights ahead of the main card.

However, UFC continues to stretch its boundaries and Fight Island is just another landmark in the company’s history. All the MMA fans around the globe are geared up to watch the inaugural event. The UFC has been able to host such events post its return back to action in May. And, the recent announcement made by them has now confirmed that the UFC 251 will certainly take place and all MMA fans can now expect to see the UFC events ongoing in the future as well.
