Trevour Amunga

LA-based rapper-songwriter Trevour Amunga presents an epic musical saga with his new EP, ‘For Akira,’ introducing the world with his creative dexterity. It is inspired by one of his favorite anime characters, ‘Akira,’ which was released in the 1980s. And just like the anime, the songs tackle larger social issues that are not addressed much in the music industry. The tracks convey youth and the struggles, ambition, fear, and pleasures that come with it. His soothing yet robust voice helps him give out memorable performances in all of the compositions.

Born in Kenya, Trevour Amunga moved to the US with his parents in 2008. He had always shown interest in music-making and continued to express his thoughts and opinions through articulate poetry and songs. His newest EP, ‘For Akira’, features gifted artists Luna Bands, Gemaine Edwards, Leo Ferro, and Josephine. Utilizing his diverse background, he has added a unique sonic flavor to the music collection and has successfully established a strong influence in the music industry. The songs are not only entertaining but highly relatable to the listeners.
