Image Credit - BBC[/caption]James Cordon is planning to say goodbye to his show The Late Late Show after eight years of hosting it. The comedian has revealed that he will leave the show next year. His contract has been extended for one year only because of the CBS late-night show.
Speaking to the media he has said, ‘It’s been it’s a really hard decision to leave because I’m so immensely proud of the show. I’m thrilled to be extending [for a year]...I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave and then I stayed on. I’ve really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure’.
He also added, ‘I never saw [the show] as my final destination and I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way, I always want to love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there.
The comedian is not very sure if he wants to go back to his homeland with his family. He shared his thought by saying, ‘It’s something we think about and we talk about a lot, but we haven’t really made a decision on that yet. That’s the life side of things which we’ll figure out.
With the incredible show, he has achieved a lot of success. His video with Adele has got 250 million views on YouTube. Just like that his video with One Direction has 189 million views. The YouTube channel of the show has accumulated 10 billion views and 27 million subscribers.
This actor and comedian started doing the show seven years ago and took the television to a whole new level. He introduced a completely new thing to the audience with his huge creativity. In this show, he slowly brought in Drop the Mic and Carpool Karaoke where he featured many singers and celebrities. With these segments, the artist has achieved a completely different fanbase.
James has said ‘I am so proud of what we've achieved, it's been beyond my wildest, wildest dreams, also added ‘the best year we have ever had... we are gonna go out with a bang’.
He has taken a very big decision and every time he is keeping his heart out by saying something like ‘I’ll miss the adrenaline of thinking, ‘Next week I’m going to jump out of a plane with Tom Cruise, or in two weeks’ time, we’re going to drive around the White House in a car with Michelle Obama or sing ‘Penny Lane’ with Paul McCartney driving down Penny Lane’.
As it is going to be his last year in the show everyone is eagerly waiting for the last bang and to be part of this celebration.
