A man had reportedly jumped into a lion enclosure at Delhi zoo and spent a good time with the wild animal for some time. A video was leaked of the incident where the man can be seen hopping in and walking around as if both of them were long lost, friends.
As soon as the Delhi zoo staff became aware of the incident they hurried to the spot to rescue the person and handed him over to the police. People present in the scene at the moment tried to stop the man from entering the enclosure but the young man listened to none and went right in front of the lion.
The video instantly got viral and shows the 28-yr old man Rehan Khan who is seen wearing a black running shoe run across the lion enclosure and walks up to the lion. Both of them were seen staring at each other for a while.
The incident took place around 12.30 pm when the man climbed up a metal grill to enter the enclosure.
He further goes one step extra and lies down in front of the wild animal on a tree trunk and makes some hand gestures to the lion. Even the lion that was just feet away from the man was shocked to see something like that and continued staring back at him.
After a few seconds, the lion finally climbs up on the man who now gets up from his sitting position.
The zoo staff immediately went to the rescue and brought him out of safely. As per DCP (Southeast), the 28-yr old man is Rehan Khan, from Bihar who supposedly is mentally unstable. However, everything ended well and the man was rescued in an intoxicated state but without any injury.
