Swery65’s The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories has become a famous game lately which was first developed by White Owls and Arc System Works published it in 2018. It has been 2 years since it was published and finally, the Limited Run Games decided to have a physical release this year finally.

The idea of the puzzle game was created by the famous director Hidetaka “Swery65” Suehiro in association with Arc System Works.  Swery65 is famous for his previous games, with games like Deadly Premonition and D4. So far The Missing was his first game release from his development studio, White Owls.

The Missing features a young maiden called as J.J. on her journey in search of her friends. The plot of the story goes as the disappearance of J.J’s friend out of the bolt, spurred J.J to start looking for her friend in an unknown Island of Memories. You must not die on the nightmare island, even if you get fatal injuries.

The game is made for adults due to some gruesome elements in the game like dismemberment and gore. The game gets intense when J.J. decided to go on the searching quest for her friend regardless of what came in her way. Sometimes it can get painful for her as well. The main plot of the game surrounds on one question; why she left abruptly.

Though the game was released long back, it continued to be updated. The most recent update it made was on October 10, 2019.

The Missing won several awards when it was released for the first time back in 2018. The awards are mentioned on its official website.

Finally, Limited Run Games will release its physical version on both consoles of PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The Limited Collector’s Edition comes with the original game, F.K. plush, Sleepy Donuts stress ball, Sleepy Donuts 3D magnets, and a sticker sheet all included in a special collector’s box.

The players can preorder for the physical game version from 31st January 2020. Though it comes with limited 2,000 copies but it comes free. The game will be ready to deliver after preorders close which will take 4 months. Though there is good news for those who cannot wait for months. They get to play a demo before they decide to purchase. It is now available on PC via Steam, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
