Deep Rock Galactic finally gets released by Ghost Ship Games after a very long period of time in Early Access of Steam and it is pretty evident that the developers of the game have been able to walk through the line of the Early Access program on Steam quite well. For a player, it seems pretty difficult to maintain open and honest communication with the fans, don’t offer ostentatious monetization schemes, and deliver on your promises.

The management seems to be of the grade-school level, while there are many titles on consoles and PC that promised too much and delivered nothing compared to that in their Early Access journey, which ultimately resulted in the frustration of the fans.

Extending to the full release, Ghost Ship Games has managed the deceitful waters; true to their word, however, they aren’t stopping there.

As it has become customary from the developers of the title, Deep Rock Galactic post-release support roadmap promises loads more contentwhich will cover the entire 2020.

As per the timeline, miners will get the Update 31 in June along with three latest secondary objectives, an update to the monster manual, and newly carved out cave interiors. This subject matter of the underlying concept has brought variety to the overall presentation, breaking up what can occasionally become monotony as miners grind for hours in dark caves.

The Update 32 is scheduled to be provided in the 3rd quarter of 2020, through which new mission types will be brought in.

There are two new mission types, so let’s take our prizes where we can find them. The developers have kept themselves away from spilling out beans of the type of missions, but as long as the players do not have to chase hundreds of Morkite, it would certainly be great. Some cosmetics might also arrive in tandem with the Update 32, although nothing has been announced yet at this time.

The final scheduled update for this year would certainly be called Update 33, which is not at all a brain teaser. This update would bring two brand-spanking-new biomes to explore and harvest, new enemy types, and a mysterious ‘more unannounced stuff’. To be honest, the vague statements do make sense, as the game designers are currently working on creating the two new mission types while the developers are busy in completing the Update 31.

It is certainly very difficult to argue against vague statements when the alternative is either no statement or false promises.

Ghost Ship Games ends the new and oh-so-shiny roadmap with words of promise. New content will be consistently provided to Deep Rock Galactic as long as the fans want it. This will surely be something big.
