The airline giant Lufthansa has decided that they will be accepting the digital certificates of  Covid-19 vaccination from the passengers for check-ins for their fights. In their statement made on Thursday, the company has revealed its new plan to the public.

In the statement, the German airline said that passengers can access the vaccination certificate on their phones and download it for check-in. They can then produce that as proof of their vaccination at the time of check-in at the airport. They will get their hands on the boarding passes only after that.

Lufthansa has said that with the new step the passengers will be free of the hassle of juggling different papers and proofs. That way they will also be able to lower the number of fake vaccination certificates. Germany has started a new initiative to issue QR codes to the ones who have received all the doses of the vaccine available there, last week.

As per the reports of the biggest holiday group in the world, TUI Group, the people of Germany are once again booking holidays after the pandemic. The numbers are much higher than in 2019, long before the pandemic started. The report was released on Wednesday.

The airline company, Lufthansa has planned to make the digital vaccination certificate for check-in available on selected routes. The entire process can be done using a smartphone through the airline’s app.

Lufthansa has launched a new service where the passengers can contact the airline customer service center 72 hours before the flight to make sure they have the right documents. These documents include Covid-9 negative results, proof of recovery from the ailment, and the vaccination certificate. The company advises the passengers to carry the
original print of the documents like vaccination certificate with them during the journey until said otherwise.

Lufthansa declared on Thursday that the new subsidiary is allowed for holiday flights, Eurodrawing Discover. They plan to increase the number of operations of the flight this year. They will begin the operation with a flight from Frankfurt to Mombasa at the end of July.

The European Union has decided to reduce the restriction on travel for summer vacation. They have agreed to let the fully vaccinated people move more freely. They will not have to do a test or quarantine after the travel. The EU has now made a broader list of EU regions that have been marked safe for travel.

Britain also plans to reduce the travel restrictions for people who are fully vaccinated. Many airlines in the country are on the verge of suing the government for the strict travel rules that have brought devastating losses for them. The move is thought to satisfy these companies as well.
